« on: February 19, 2017, 01:51:34 PM »
Hey All,
Been keen 1/5 scale enthusiast for a while, and recently got back into hobby. Just completing a MCD RR5, looking to get involved with local club. Keen to try my hand a racing, well trying to finish anyhow  ;)
Cheers

Welcome to the forum mate. Yes the 1/5 scale bug is a hard one to shake.
By all means bring your rr5 out and have a go. We have our opening race round next Sunday  if your good to go by then. If not, your most welcome to come out for a look. Anything you need to know mate, everyone is willing to help out.

Cheers Evo, currently running a OBR 320 full mod, looking at AARCMCC guidelines this is non compliant, is that correct?

That's correct mate. At an AARCMCC event it wouldn't comply and at this stage it doesn't comply at club level either. But that doesn't mean you cant come out and try racing as a non member, you can do this twice. As a non member your not eligible for championship points so the non compliance is null and void.

You can find the most important details here mate    http://www.sals.org.au/index.php?topic=8.0
