2wd outlaw
« on: June 20, 2017, 10:41:47 AM »
Just wondering on 2wd outlaw rules is there any reason that someone can't convert a losi  into a 2wd and be ok to race not just our club but any where? Just a thought i had and wondering if it's allowed or not cheers.

Hi mate, no reason why you can't do it. Simon has one and is quite competitive. Need to change a few things to get the best out of it though. Is a good kit from the states which makes them handle well.

Cheers Garry

Hi you need a shorter chassis , not as short as the buggy , Mentality 1 on LSD is the man for a chassis  need the motor back as far as you can run  axle as the rear tailshaft  , a alloy rear diff housing as the pinion bearings will melt out the std one  , a centre diff locker  team chase i think i have soft cush drive in it , pipe to suit centralise and balance the chassis out with the servos and tank  , body is easy to mod to suit but you need to get the weight out of it as there pretty heavy and right near the limit , all the measurements are in the AARCMCC rules , fastest 2wd at the Nats was one of these Chris Pattersons , Out handle a Baja once set up and still tough

the Australian chassis  , ice or area rc alloy housing front axle as a tailshaft a locker , mod a pipe to suit , this would be the cheapest option for a quick outlaw 2wd
