Working Bee - 28th January
« on: January 15, 2018, 10:09:01 AM »
Hi All.

SALS is having its first working bee for the year on Sunday 28th January. We would appreciate as many members assistance as possible, many hands make light work as they say.

The main focus of this will be to do a bit of a clean-up of the grounds and track area. If we can get a few whipper snippers going it will get the job done quicker, so if you have one bring it along.

Some minor track work will be required also, mostly to fill in a few of the ruts from the water damage last year and to shape out some of the track a bit better.

If time permits people can cut a few laps on the track afterwards.

We want to get the grounds and track spic and span for the start of the season so appreciate members help even if you can only spare a couple of hours, every bit helps.

Cheers
Mat

Hi All,

We will be moving the working bee to next weekend (4th Feb) due to the hot weather this weekend.

Cheers
Mat

Working Bee - 28th January

Thanks to the guys that came out to the working bee today. Scott, Andy, Ryan, Chris and Mat (and Cooper). It warmed up pretty quick but we were able to tidy up the track of all the weeds and mow the pit and car park area.

Our main focus is to spend as much time as possible tidying up the track and making it look like a race track again instead of a desert wasteland.

We will be having another working bee after the Fun Day next week on the 11th and before Round 1 to hopefully get more done. A date will be confirmed in due course.

It will be great if we can get a few more out to lend a hand.

Again, the effort today was much appreciated.

Thanks
